KHULNA, Dec 9, 2025 (BSS) - BNP Students Affairs Secretary and the party-nominated candidate for Khulna-3 constituency, Rakibul Islam Bokul, has said the upcoming national election is not merely an election but a struggle to restore democracy.

He made the remarks at a view-exchange meeting with local party leaders to strengthen organizational activities ahead of the 13th National Parliamentary Election. The meeting was held last night at his residence in the city.

Presidents, general secretaries, and organizational secretaries of Khanjahan Ali, Daulatpur, and Khalishpur thana units, along with leaders of ward units, attended the meeting.

The discussion focused on election preparedness, strengthening organizational capacity, conveying the message of the paddy-sheaf to voters, appointing and training polling agents, and ongoing political and social activities in the constituency.

Bokul also listened attentively to the leaders' opinions and recommendations. He urged leaders and activists to become more active in the field from now on.

"We must reach every ward with the message of the paddy-sheaf and prepare polling agents with honesty, competence, and responsibility," he added.

Referring to BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia as the symbol of democracy, he said, "We pray for her early recovery."
