CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Dec 12, 2021 (BSS) - Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)
arrested six persons for allegedly keeping and selling pornography from
Shibganj in the district last night.

   The arrestees are Md. Liton Ali, 28 of Tikri village, Md. Sariqul Islam,
35 of Kalichak village, Md. Baitul Islam, 39 of Namotikri village, Ahsan
Habib, 44 of Lakkhipur village, Md. Mizanur Rahman, 30 of Mobarakpur village
and Md. Alam Ali, 23 of Kalichak village in Shibganj upazila of the district.

   RAB said, acting on secret information, an operation team of RAB-5
conducted a raid in Tikri Bazar area under Mobarakpur union of Shibganj
upazila from 6.30 pm till 8 pm and arrested them.

   In primary interrogation, the arrested persons confessed that they used to
sell pornography to the young people and the students of schools and colleges
of the area, RAB sources added.

   RAB also seized seven computer monitors, CPU, key boards, mouces, hard
discs, 20 computer cables, two UPS, 25 card readers, 12 speakers, seven
mobile phones, 13 sim cards, nine memory cards and five sound boxes.

   Later, the arrested persons were handed over to the police of Shibganj
thana with filing a case under Pornography Control Act-2012.
