KHULNA, Nov 12, 2025 (BSS) - The annual renewal of firearms licenses for 2026 in Khulna district will be conducted from December 1-31 this year, according to an official notification, signed by Khulna Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate Md. Toufiqueur Rahman.
 
Executive magistrates will oversee the renewal process.

License holders of Paikgacha upazila can renew their licenses on December 1 while Koyra upazila will do so on December 2 from 9am-4pm at their respective Upazila Nirbahi Officer's (UNO's) offices.

Renewal for license holders under Sonadanga, Harintana and Labonchora Police Stations of the KMP will take place on December 1 and 2, and for Khulna Sadar and Khalishpur areas on December 3 and 4 at the DC Office under the supervision of Imran Hasan, assistant commissioner and executive magistrate.

Renewal for Aarongghata and Khanjahan Ali Police Stations of the KMP will be held on December 7 and 8 under the supervision of Dipen Sadhak Roni, assistant commissioner and executive magistrate.

License holders of Rupsha, Terokhada, Digholia, and Phultala upazilas may renew their licenses on December 9, 10, 11, and 14 respectively, under Assistant Commissioner and Executive Magistrate Md. Asaduzzaman Arif.
 
Renewal for Dumuria, Batiaghata, and Dacope upazilas will be held on December 15, 18, and 21 under Assistant Commissioner and Executive Magistrate Priyanka Rani Kundu.

Financial institutions, dealers, and repair firms can renew their licenses on December 22 under Nazmus Sakib, assistant commissioner and executive magistrate.

In addition, on December 23, 24, 28, 29, and 30, license holders who missed their scheduled dates, as well as firearm license holders from other districts currently residing in Khulna, may renew their licenses under Umme Salma Khanun, assistant commissioner and executive magistrate of the district.
 
Legal action will be taken against the firearm holders who will fail to renew their licenses within the specified period, the notification added.
