RANGPUR, Sept 28, 2025 (BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 in three separate drives arrested four alleged drug dealers with 58.9 kg of ganja during the last 48 hours from different places of Rangpur and Lalmonirhat districts. 
 
An operational team of RAB-13’s Sadar Company searched a truck at village Madanpur under Aditmari Police Station of Lalmonirhat district, seized 28.8 kg of ganja along with the truck and arrested two persons from the spot, said a press release.
 
The detainees were identified as Md Bakul Hossain, 33, of village Kashihat under Sadar Police Station of Sirajganj district and Sajib Ahmed Akand, 26, of the Sonargaon area under Muktagacha Police Station of Mymensingh district.
 
In another operation, a Crime Prevention Specialised Company (CPSC) team of RAB-13 seized 20.1 kg of ganja and arrested a woman from the Modern Mour area under Tajhat Metropolitan Police Station of Rangpur Metropolitan Police.
 
The arrestee was identified as Md Ayesha Khatun, 24, of village Uttar Gopalpur under Kotwali Police Station of Dinajpur district. 
 
Yet in another raid, an operational team of RAB-13’s Sadar Company arrested a man with 10 kg of ganja from the Parker Mour area under Tajhat Metropolitan Police Station of Rangpur Metropolitan Police in the city.
 
The arrested person was identified as Md Kabir Hossain Nayan, 30, of village Daikhawa, under Hatibandha Police Station of Lalmonirhat district.
 
The elite force handed over the arrested persons along with the seized ganja, auto-rickshaw and truck to the concerned police stations in Rangpur and Lalmonirhat districts, the release added.
