RANGPUR, Sept 28, 2025 (BSS) - Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) rescued a 
kidnapped college girl and arrested two accused kidnappers from the South 
Binnatari area of Hajirhat Metropolitan Police Station under Rangpur 
Metropolitan Police (RpMP) here on Saturday.
 
The arrested are Md Alkas, 30, of the Binnatari area and Md Rahidul Islam 
Bhejal, 40, of the Ward No -17 area under Rangpur Metropolitan Kotwali Police 
Station.
 
Earlier, Md Alkas along with his accomplices forcibly kidnapped the HSC 
examinee college girl of the Binnatari area while she was returning from her 
examination center under Hajirhat Metropolitan Police Station at about 1:10 
pm on July 30, 2025.
 
Later, her grandmother filed a kidnapping case with Hajirhat Metropolitan 
Police Station of RpMP in this connection on August 1, 2025.
 
On a tip off, an operational team of the RAB-13's Sadar Company conducted a 
raid in the Binnatari area under Hajirhat Metropolitan Police Station and 
arrested the two accused and rescued the victim at 3 pm on Saturday.
 
The elite force has handed over the arrested accused persons and the rescued 
victim girl to the RpMP's Hajirhat Metropolitan Police Station.
