Special "Fruit Taste" programme held in Rangpur

RANGPUR, June 21, 2025 (BSS) - Rangpur Sahitya-Sanskriti Parishad (RSSP) 
organised a special programme titled "Fruit Taste" with the theme "Madhu Mase 
Madhu-Roser Abesh" at its office in the city's Town Hall premises on Friday 
night.
 
RSSP president and noted literary and social worker Dr Nasima Akter presided 
over the programme moderated by its literary secretary of RSSP Afzal Hossain.
 
Writer and researcher Dr Shah Sultan Talukder presented an article titled 
"Aam Nama" in the programme. 
 
Writer and cultural personality Dr Mofizul Islam Maantu, educationist and 
literary figure Professor Mohammad Shah Alam, executive member SM Amjad 
Hossain Sarkar, advisers Advocate Masum Hasan and Dr Samarpita Ghosh Tania, 
former RSSP president Swattik Shah Al Maruf, life-time member Neel Ratan 
Sarkar discussed writing about fruits, the nutritional value of fruits and 
planting more fruit trees. 
 
Former RSSP president Hasna Hena Begum Roji and its organising secretary 
Dilip Kumar delivered the welcome speeches. 
 
RSSP adviser and veteran freedom fighter Prof Abdus Sobhan recited self-
composed poetry on fruits, the nutritional value of fruits and importance of 
planting more fruit trees. 
 
Literary personality H B Lovely presented a short story on fruits.
 
Lutfar Rahman Saju, Abdus Salam, Mehedi Masud, Samima Akhter Khanam, Mesbaur 
Rahman, Jennifer Ali Eli, Mollika Sharma and Ayra Ohazia Rahman also 
participated in the poem recitation session. 
 
Journalist Sushanta Bhowmik, president of the Sangskritik Oikko Parishad, 
Rangpur Chowdhury Mahmudunnabi Dollar and musician and theater artist 
Makshudar Rahman Mukul addressed the programme as invited guests.

Guitarist Biplob, poets Hasnain Rabbi, Abdul Jabbar, Alamgir, among others, 
were present. 

RSSP president Dr Nasima Akhter and its general secretary Mamun Ur Rashid 
thanked everyone for making the programme a success. 
 
The programme ended with the tasting of various seasonal fruits.
