CHATTOGRAM, June 16, 2025 (BSS) - The first death from Coronavirus has 
occurred in Chattogram this year. 

Besides, the port city has reported 10 more Covid-19 cases out of 120 tests 
in the last 24 hours in the district.

With these new cases, the total number of Coronavirus cases in Chattogram has 
reached 28 in the past 10 days, according to Dr Jahangir Alam, Civil Surgeon 
of Chattogram, who spoke to BSS.

Dr Jahangir Alam mentioned that Coronavirus tests are currently being 
conducted in six different laboratories including Chattogram Medical College 
Hospital (CMCH) RT-PCR lab.

Currently, 25 infected patients are undergoing treatment at various 
designated hospitals here.

Dr Jahangir Alam Chowdhury has advised everyone to follow hygiene rules and 
use masks.
