BAGERHAT, June 10, 2025 (BSS) - One person was killed and 20 others were injured in a road accident in Mulghar area on the Dhaka-Khulna highway in Fakirhat upazila in the district this morning.

The accident occurred when the driver of a passenger bus lost control over the steering and hit a roadside tree in the area, leaving one killed on the spot and 20 others injured.

The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Police and firefighters rescued the injured and sent them to upazila health complex. 

Later, six critically injured were transferred to Khulna Medical College Hospital, police said.
