Magura, June 6, 2025 (BSS) - Members of the Bangladesh Army today arrested a man and seized illegal firearms, ammunition, drugs, and a motorcycle during a special drive in Stadium South Para area under Sadar Police Station in the district. 

The arrestee was identified as Khondokar Rizviul Hasan Siddiqui alias Jibon, son of Khondokar Abu Bakkar Siddiqui of Stadium South Para, Magura Sadar Upazila.

Based on information about the presence of illegal arms at the suspect's residence, a team from Magura Army Camp conducted the drive at around 3:45 AM.

During the drive, the army recovered illegal firearms, bullets, contraband yaba tablets, and a motorcycle from the house.

Later, the arrested individual along with the seized arms, ammunition, drugs, and vehicle was handed over to Sadar Police Station at around 6:00 AM.

Confirming the matter, Imdadul Haque, duty officer of Magura Sadar Police Station, said that legal proceedings have been initiated against the accused.
