RAJBARI, June 1, 2025 (BSS) - The District Livestock Department in Rajbari observed World Milk Day today with the theme "Embrace the Power of Milk Together."

To mark the occasion, a discussion and prize-giving ceremony took place in front of the District Livestock Office. 

Deputy Commissioner Sultana Akhter attended the event as the chief guest.

As part of the celebration, an essay competition was held focusing on the nutritional benefits of milk and dairy products. A total of 18 participants were awarded for their outstanding contributions.

The programme was presided over by District Livestock Officer Dr. Prokash Ranjan Biswas, with Superintendent of Police Md. Kamrul Islam and Civil Surgeon Dr. S. M. Masud attending as special guests.
