KHULNA, July 02, 2021(BSS) – As part of the week-long all out lockdown enforced by the government on July 1 (Thursday), Khulna city today experienced a strict lockdown with closure of all kinds of offices and business establishments.

With the increase of both deaths and infections, law enforcing agencies are patrolling the city areas and district while several mobile teams conducted drives and realized fine from the lockdown violators.

A total of eight mobile courts led by executive magistrates realized TK  18,650 from 38 people who violated government rules during second day of lockdown, said additional district magistrate Md Yousup Ali.

Police, Ansar, BGB and Army personnel were present during the drives, he said.
However, a few city residents were seen went outside for their houses due to emergency works and Jumma prayers.
