RAJSHAHI, Nov 10, 2021 (BSS) - Police in overnight anti-crime raids arrested two persons with huge fake foreign branded cosmetics from Dighir Parila area under Paba Police Station in the city last night.

   The arrested persons were identified as Saiful Islam, 48, son of late Gaziur Rahman of Kalupara village under Durgapur Upazila and his brother-in-law Mesbah Uddin, 40, son of sate Shafi Talukder of the Parila village.

   On a tip-off, a high-powered police team seized a bulk amount of fake cosmetics worth around Taka 17.50 lakh after searching their houses.

   Rajshahi Metropolitan Police Commissioner Abu Kalam Siddique told BSS that the arrested persons were involved in manufacturing the forged cosmetics and supplying those to various beauty parlors, gents parlor, saloon and cosmetics shops for long.
