RANGPUR, May 13, 2025 (BSS) - The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 arrested a presumed drug trader with 22.70 kg of ganja from the Vocational Mour area under Sadar upazila of Lalmonirhat district on Sunday night.

 An operational team of RAB-13 in a drive seized a huge quantity of ganja and an auto-rickshaw used for carrying the same and arrested the man from the spot at 11:00 pm, said a press release on Monday night.

The detainee was identified as Md Shakhawat Hossain, 48, son of late Abul Kashem of village Kakeya Tepa under Sadar upazila of Lalmonirhat.

"The elite force handed over the arrested person with seized goods to Lalmonirhat Sadar police station for further legal action," the release added.
