GOPALGANJ, May 4, 2025 (BSS) - A farmer was killed in a lightning strike at
Padmakandi village of Dignagar union under Muksudpur upazila of the district
today.

The deceased was Shahid Munshi, 60, son of Sekender Munshi of the village.

Lightning followed by a rainstorm hit Shahid around 11.30 am when he was
cutting paddy at his land near his house.

He died on the spot, said Khairul Islam, sub-inspector (SI) of Sindiaghat
police outpost.
