JAMALPUR, March 3, 2025 (BSS) - An unidentified woman was killed after being hit by the Brahmaputra intercity train at Compopur area in Sadar upazila this morning. 

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Jamalpur Railway Police Md Rabiul Islam said the Dhaka-bound train from Dewanganj Bazar station hit the woman when he was walking near the railway track. She died on the spot.

Police recovered the body and sent it to Jamalpur General Hospital morgue for autopsy. The identity of the woman could not be known, police said.

A UD case was registered with Jamalpur Railway police station.
