CHATTOGRAM, Oct 19, 2021 (BSS) - Chattogram district recorded lowest
Covid-19 positivity rate of 0.97 percent while 13 fresh cases were reported
after testing 1,267 samples during the last 24 hours till Tuesday morning.

     The Covid-19 situation is improving consistently during the last few
months, Civil Surgeon Dr Ilias Chowdhury said.

     With the newly infected cases, the number of coronavirus (COVID-19)
patients stands at 102,128 in the district.

     "The number of cured patients from the lethal virus stood at 87,406 in
the district with the recovery of 27 more patients in the last 24 hours," Dr
Ilias said, adding that the percentage of recovery rate is 85.64.

     With one more new death recorded in the last 24 hours, the death toll
stood at 1,315 in the district.

     A total of 1,828 infected patients are now undergoing treatment at
designated hospitals here.
