JAMALPUR, Oct 4, 2021 (BSS)- A severe thunderbolt killed three persons in

Islampur Upazila in the district yesterday afternoon.

   The victims were identified as Sundar Ali, 65 son of Vola Sardar, Rafiq
Sardar,14 son of Zibrail Sardar and Mosharraf Hossain ,46 son of Mofazzal
Hossain at village East Kandarchar in Islampur Upazila of the district.

   Islampur Upazila Project Implementation Officer, Mehedi Hassan said the
victims were working at a paddy field near their homes during rain at around
3 pm when a thunderbolt struck on them leaving injuring seriously.

 
Local people rushed them Islampur Upazila health complex where the attending
doctor declared Sunar Ali and Rafiq dead. Doctor referred Mosharraf to
Jamalpur Genral hospital but succumbed on way.

   Upazila Administration disbursed Tk 5000 to the each victim's family
instantly.
