CHATTOGRAM, Sept 21, 2021 (BSS) - The number of Coronavirus (COVID-19)
cases crossed the 101,000 marks in Chattogram district where the infection
rate continues reducing again in recent days.

  With the new 76 infections, the number of Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases
reached 101,388. Meanwhile, Chattogram district recorded ever-lowest Covid-19
positive rate of 4.35 per cent since the pandemic broke out here after
testing 1,747 samples during the last 24 hours till Tuesday morning.

   The Covid-19 situation is improving consistently during the recent weeks
in the district, Civil Surgeon Dr Sheikh Fazle Rabbi told BSS.

  "The number of cured patients from the lethal virus stood at 86,302 in the
district with the recovery of 45 more patients on Monday," Dr Rabbi said,
adding that the percentage of recovery rate is 85.05.

   With one new death in the last 24 hours, the death toll reached 1,283 in
the district. A total of 2406 infected patients are now undergoing treatment
at designated hospitals here.
