JAMALPUR, April 16, 2024 (BSS)-A minor boy was killed in a road accident at Malancha Bazar area under Melandah Upazila of the district here this morning.

The victim was identified as Ayat, 6, son of Amir Hamza of village Malancha under Melandah upazila of the district.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Melandah Police Station Raju Ahmed said Aayat was standing beside the road at Malancha Bazar area.

At that time, driver of a speedy Battery run auto rickshaw lost his control over the steering and over turned it on the boy at around 11:30 am.

 The minor boy died on the spot.

Police seized the vehicle and took lawful actions in this connection.
