RANGPUR, Sept 16, 2021 (BSS) - The total number of the first dose recipient citizens of Covid-19 vaccine rose to 24,29,035 with the inoculation of 53,310 more citizens with the first dose of the jab today in Rangpur division.

     "Among the 53,310 new first dose recipient citizens, 51,447 were inoculated with the Sinopharm Covid-19 vaccine and 1,863 citizens with the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine today," Divisional Director (Health) Dr Md Motaharul Islam told BSS tonight.

     The first dose recipient 24,29,035 citizens include 8,94,758 people vaccinated with the AstraZeneca Covid-19 jab, 14,03,367 people with the Sinopharm Covid-19 jab and 1,30,910 others with the Moderna Covid-19 vaccine in the division.

      Meanwhile, the number of the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine recipient citizens rose to 14,40,422 with inoculation of more 23,092 people with the second dose of the jab today in the division.

     Among the 23,092 new second dose recipient citizens, 1,157 were inoculated with the Moderna Covid-19 vaccine, 189 citizens with AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine and 21,746 others with Sinopharm Covid-19 vaccine today.  

    "The total second dose recipient 14,40,422 citizens include 5,38,258 people vaccinated with the AstraZeneca Covid-19 jab, 7,82,848 people with the Sinopharm Covid-19 jab and 1,19,316 others with the Moderna Covid-19 vaccine in the division," Dr Islam added.
