JAMALPUR, Feb 25, 2024 (BSS) - Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in a drive 
arrested a fugitive convict in Jamalpur Sadar Upazila yesterday evening.

Acting on a tip off, a team of the elite force raided Beltia Polisha area and 
arrested fugitive Md Atiqur Rahman Raju , 30, son of late Rafiqul Islam at 
village Beltia in Jamalpur Sadar Upazila. 

Jamalpur RAB-14 sources said earlier detective police arrested Md Atiqur 
Rahman Raju with drugs on March 16, 2021.

Following a case, Judicial Magistrate after examining witnesses and relevant 
documents found him guilty and sentenced him to one year rigorous 
imprisonment on October 30, 2023. Since then he remained fugitive.
