CHATTOGRAM, Dec 17, 2023 (BSS)-Chattogram Metropolitan Police in a drive has arrested four mobile phone thieves and recovered 62 stolen phone sets, cash and valuables from the port city last night.

Sources said, a team of Biyazid Thana police raided at city’s Amin colony area and arrested the thieves. The arrestees are- Md Shamim,28, Belel Hossain, 32, Md Sumon 25 and Md Jashim, 48.

Police recovered 62 cell phone sets, Tk 2,500, tools like scissors, pliers and screw driver from their possession.

Sanjoy Sinha, Officer-in- Charge of Biyazid thana said told BSS that four people were arrested while selling and buying stolen mobile phones beside footpath of Amin Textile. At this time, 62 stolen mobile phones of different brands were recovered from their custody.

A case was filed against the arrested persons in this connection.
