CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Dec 4, 2023 (BSS) - The nomination form of six candidates was canceled during scrutiny due to different reasons including failing to provide valid information.

The candidates whose nomination papers were cancelled are- independent candidates Sayed Nazrul Islam and Md. Shafiqul Islam in Chapainawabganj-1 (Shibganj), Mohammad Manik of Zaker Party in Chapainawabganj-2 (Nachole-Gomostapur-Bholahat) and Md. Golam Rabbani (Independent), Md. Mostafizur Rahman Mukul of Jatiya Party and Nahid Ahmed of NPP in Chapainawabganj-3.

Now, candidature of 17 persons-- seven in Chapainawabganj-1, six in Chapainawabganj-2 and four in Chapainawabganj-3, remained valid, Returning Officer and Deputy Commissioner of Chapainawabganj AKM Galiv Khan said yesterday.
