BOGURA, Sept 3, 2021 (BSS) – Twenty four more people were tested
positive for COVID-19 after testing 225 samples during the last 24
hours till this morning in the district.

  The infection rate was about 10 percent, medical officer of the
district civil surgeon office Dr. Sajjad-ul-Haq said in a regular
online briefing this afternoon.

   Among the new positive cases, 22 were in Sadar upazila, one in
Gabtali upazila and one in Shibganj upazila.

  The number of infected persons in the district stood at 21,067 and
the number of recovery cases were 20,312.

  Forty three patients have recovered from COVID-19 in the last 24
hours in the district, while 665 persons have so far died of COVID-19.

  Dr. Sajjad-ul-Haq said 147 infected persons are now undergoing
treatment at different hospitals in the district, rest of them are
undergoing treatment at home quarantine.
