CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Oct 12, 2023 (BSS) - Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested an alleged arms trader with a foreign made pistol, six bullets, two magazines and a machete from Shibganj upazila frontier area of the district last night.
 
The arrested person is Md. Ruhul Amin, 30, a resident of Bagichapara under Shibganj upazila of the district.
 
On a tip-off, a patrol team of BGB-59 Battalion conducted a raid at a mango orchard in Hudmapara frontier area of the upazila around 10 pm and arrested Ruhul Amin with the arm and ammunitions, BGB sources said.
 
Sensing the presence of the BGB members, others fled away.
 
Later the arrested person was handed over to the police of Shibganj Police Station.
