BHOLA, Sept  3, 2021 (BSS) –  A total of 33 more people were diagnosed with COVID-19 in the last 24 hours in the district after testing 213 samples at Bhola 250-bed General Hospital COVID-19 laboratory.

Among the newly detected cases, 21 are from Sadar upazila, two from Lalmohan upazila, three from Borhanuddin upazila, four from Charfashion upazila and three from Daulatkhan upazila of the district, civil surgeon of the district Dr. K M Shafiquzzaman, told BSS.

Meanwhile, one person has died of coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours in the district, he said.
 
With the newly detected cases, the total number of infected patients stands at 6,564 in the district.
 
Meanwhile, a total of 88 patients recovered from COVID-19 in the last 24 hours here, while the number of recovered patients rose to 5,846, the civil surgeon said.
 
A total of 88 persons have so far died of COVID-19 in the district, he added.
 
Dr Shafiquzzaman said 15 infected persons are now undergoing treatment at Bhola 250-bed General Hospital and the rest are at home quarantine under the supervision of doctors from their respective upazila health complexes.
 
He urged all to follow the health rules strictly and use facemasks to prevent the spread of the lethal virus.
