SHARIATPUR, Sep 26, 2023 (BSS) - The preparation meeting on Durga Puja was held at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner's office here today.

With Deputy Commissioner Nizam Uddin Ahmed in the chair, Police Super Md Mahbubul Haque took part in the meeting as a special guest.

General Secretary of district unit Awami League Anal Kumar Dey, Amit Ghatok Chowdhury, President, district Puja Udjapan Committee, Additional District Magistrate Md Saiful Islam Mojumder, Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Jyoti Bikash Chandra, Zajira Upazila Nirbahi Officer Kamrul Hasan Sohel and Naria Upazila Nirbahi Officer Shankar Chandra Baidya were present.

Durga Puja will be celebrated at 98 Mandap in the district.
CCTV cameras will be set up at the Puja Mandap in order to ensure security of devotees and smooth celebration of the puja.
