RANGPUR, Sept 1, 2021 (BSS) – Some 26,425 more citizens were inoculated with the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine today in Rangpur division where the coronavirus situation continues showing an improving trend in recent weeks.
 
“Among the 26,425 citizens, 7,094 were inoculated with the Sinopharm Covid-19 vaccine and 19,331 citizens with the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine today,” Divisional Director (Health) Dr Md Motaharul Islam told BSS at 7:30 pm.
 
“With the inoculation of 26,425 citizens with the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine today, the total number of the first dose recipients rose to 20,02,108 in all eight districts of the division.  
   
Among the first dose recipient 20,02,108 citizens, 6,96,696 people were vaccinated with the AstraZeneca Covid-19 jab, 11,74,502 people with the Sinopharm Covid-19 jab and 1,30,910 others with the Moderna Covid-19 vaccine in the division.
 
“Meanwhile, the number of the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine recipient citizens rose to 7,62,497 with inoculation of more 9,510 people with the second dose of the jab today in the division,” Dr Islam added.
 
Among the second dose recipient 7,62,497 citizens, 5,27,004 people were vaccinated with the AstraZeneca Covid-19 jab, 2,33,178 people with the Sinopharm Covid-19 jab and 27,899 others with the Moderna Covid-19 vaccine in the division.
