MANIKGANJ, June 6, 2023 (BSS) - A preparatory meeting was held today at the

conference room of Deputy Commissioner here to observe the 'National
Nutrition Week-2023 in a befitting manner from June 8-13.
 
The meeting chalked out elaborate programmes to observe the 'National
Nutrition Week-2023 under the guidelines of the Institute of Public Health
and Nutrition (IPHN) of the Ministry of Health.

The meeting, chaired by Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Abdul Latif, was
attended, among others, by Civil Surgeon Dr. Moazzem Ali Khan Chowdhury,
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Gen) Sanwarul Haque, DIO-2 Jahangir Alam,
former District Education Officer (DEO) Md. Abdul Monnaf Khan, journalists
from print and electronic media and several government officials.

The programmes included drawing and essay competition on Nutrition for the
adolescents, distribute nutritious food to the inmates of Orphanage and
Lillah Boardings, quiz competition for the school students, provide free
health checkups and medical consultations to the diabetic patients.
