RAJSHAHI, May 30, 2023 (BSS) - Two children drowned in a pond at Hetemkha area under Boalia Police Station in Rajshahi city this noon.

Locals said the deceased were identified as Ananta, 6, son of Gobinda, and Nirjhor, 9, son of Niren. They are the residents of the same area.
 
Sohrawardi Hossain, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Boalia Model Police Station, said the babies drowned while they were taking bath in the pond around 1.30 pm.
 
Neighbours rushed them to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital where the attending doctors declared them dead.
 
OC Hossain said a case of unnatural death was recorded with the police station in this connection.
