CHAPAINAWABGANJ, May 26, 2023 (BSS)-Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested an alleged drug peddler with 1.026 kg of heroin from the sadar upazila on Thursday.

The arrested person was identified as Md Ziakur, 50 of Pirgachi village under Shibganj upazila in Chapainawabganj district.

RAB said, an operation team of RAB-5 from Chapainawabganj camp, on detective information, conducted a raid in Langlarmore area under Charbagdanga union of Chapainawabganj sadar upazila at around 7:30 pm and arrested him with the heroin.

Later, the elite force handed him over to the police of Chapainawabganj sadar thana with a case, the sources added.
