JAMALPUR, May 8, 2023 (BSS) - Two minor children drowned in a pond near their house at Sirazabad village in Islampur upazila of the district today.

The victims were identified as Simanto, 7, son of Ibrahim Khalil and Minal, 8, son of Shukkur Ali, of the village.

Police said the children drowned in the pond beside their residence while taking bath.

Relatives of the victims recovered the bodies and took them to Islampur Health complex where the attending doctors declared them dead.
