RANGPUR, March 31, 2023 (BSS) - Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in a
raid arrested a man with 1,095 pieces of Yaba tablets on Thursday from
Dakshin Tilaipara Bottola village in Bhurungamari upazila of Kurigram
district.
 
The arrested was identified as Md. Safar Ali, 56, son of late Abdus Sobhan of
the village.

"On a tip-off, an operational team of the RAB-13 from its Rangpur battalion
headquarters conducted a raid in the area and nabbed Safar Ali with the
contraband Yaba tablets from the spot," a press release said.
 
During preliminary interrogation, the arrested person admitted his
involvement in drug trading in connivance with his other cohorts for a long
time.
 
"After filing a case against the arrested person in this connection, the
elite force handed him over to Bhurungamari Police Station in Kurigram," the
release added.
