RANGPUR, March 29, 2023 (BSS)-A well-coordinated effort of all departments and stakeholders is crucial for ensuring implementation of National Integrity Strategy in reaching government services at the people’s doorsteps to build a Smart Bangladesh by 2041.
The opinion came from a views-exchange meeting of the stakeholders titled "Implementation of the National Integrity Strategy, Work-Plan and Progress Monitoring Structure” organized by the District Information Office (DIO) at its office here today.
Acting Director of Rangpur District Information Office Md. Atikur Rahman Shah presided over the meeting with the participation of the stakeholders including officials of different government departments, professional and civil society members.
In his welcome speech, Shah highlighted the goals of the meeting and sought continuous cooperation of all stakeholders for efficient implementation of the public awareness raising activities of DIO and reaching information about all government services being provided by the government offices at grassroots levels.
Assistant Director of Rangpur District Information Office Md. Alamgir Kabir and Assistant Information Officer Afsana Akhtar also addressed.
Senior Reporter of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) Md. Mamun Islam, Junior Consultant of the Strengthening the Religious and Socio-Economic Capacity of Purohit and Sebait Project Bikash Kumar Sheel, Safe Food Officer at Rangpur Office of Bangladesh Food Safety Authority Md. Lokman Hossain, among others, spoke.
The participants said Rangpur Information Office has been conducting awareness raising activities efficiently on various important issues and government services among the common people in remote areas across the district.
Narrating the damages caused by the Covid-19 pandemic to various sectors, they suggested for strengthening coordination among all stakeholders and conducting more awareness raising activities at the grassroots levels to increase awareness among the common people.
They put especial importance on increasing the number of social awareness raising activities including meetings, gatherings, mothers’ rallies and screening of documentaries of the DIO on various issues again to the pre-Covid-19 level in the remote areas.
