Netrokona ready to celebrate Independence Day tomorrow

NETRAKONA, March 25, 2023 (BSS) - The authorities concerned have completed all preparations to celebrate the country's Independence and National Day-2023 in a festive mood with huge enthusiasm tomorrow.

 
District administration, different socio-cultural organizations and political parties, including Awami League, professional groups and educational institutions, chalked out elaborate programs to observe the day.
 
The day's program will formally start with heralding of 31 gun salutes on
district collectorate office premises at dawn.

As part of the programs, the national flag will be hoisted atop all public and private buildings in the district during sun-rising period.

Floral wreaths will be placed at the memorial monument of martyred freedom fighters on district collectorate office premises and independence memorial monument at Satpai here in the morning.
 
A colourful combined parade of police, Ansar, BNCC, boy scouts, girl guides and children of different juvenile clubs and educational institutions will be held at the local stadium in the morning.

Deputy Commissioner Anjana Khan Mojlish will take the salute at the
parade.

A reception will be accorded to the local freedom fighters and family members of the martyred freedom fighters by the district administration at the local public hall here.
 
Improved diets will be served to the inmates of hospitals, jails and
orphanage children's family centres in the district.

A special prayer will be held at Netrakona central Jam-e-Mosque after Johr prayers seeking blessings of Almighty Allah for progress and prosperity of the nation.

The special prayers will also be held at other mosques, temples, churces and other places of worships seeking divine blessings for progres and prosperity of the nation.

A discussion meeting on "the historic leadership of father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and country's development" will be held at local public hall here.
