LAXMIPUR, Aug 16, 2021 (BSS) -  A total of 10 oxygen cylinders were distributed, marking the 46th martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, at the initiative of local Awami League and its affiliates in Keroa Union No. 6 of Raipur upazila of the district here today.

Advocate Nuruddin Chowdhury Nayan, Member of Parliament for Laxmipur-2 (Laxmipur Sadar-Raipur) constituency and General Secretary of District Awami League, distributed the oxygen cylinders and food items among 300 people this afternoon.

Advocate Nuruddin Chowdhury Nayan, MP, said the oxygen will be used to treat people infected by COVID-19.

Raipur Upazila Parishad Chairman Mamunur Rashid, Raipur Municipal Awami League Convener Kazi Jamshed Kabir Bakki Billah, Union Awami League President Haji Shah Alam Master, General Secretary Haji Firoz, UP Chairman Shahinur Begum Rekha, among others, were present on the occasion.
