KHULNA, March 20, 2023 (BSS) - Government is going to distribute new houses
in fourth phase of the Ashrayan-2 project among 836 landless families in
Khulna on March 22.
As a part of the country wide programmes, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina
virtually will inaugurate the programme from Ganabhaban as the chief guest on
Wednesday.
Deputy Commissioner Md Khondokar Yasir Arefin has revealed it in a press
briefing at the deputy commissioner's conference room here today.
Earlier, the Government has distributed 922 houses in first phase, 1,351
houses in second phase and 827 houses in third phase under the Ashrayan-2
project respectively.
The remained houses will be distributed later, he said, adding that
Bangladesh Army has rehabitalised 153 landless people in Terokhada,
Paikgachha and Dakop upazilas and Whip of the Parliament Panchanan Biswas,
MP, has rehabitalised 2 landless people in Dakop upazila in Khulna.
Among the beneficiaries of the fourth phase, 200 families are from Dumuria,
180 from Dighalia, 90 from Terokhada, 80 from Batiaghata, 75 from Rupsha, 66
from Paikgacha, 75 from Dacope, and lastly 70 families are from Fultala
upazila of the district.
Additional deputy commissioners, Journalists, among others, attended the
press briefing.
