JAMALPUR, March 5, 2023 (BSS) - A day long free eye camp was held at Gazi
Amanuzzaman Modern college premises in Bakshiganj upazila in the district on
Saturday.

With the assistance of Rotary club Dhaka, Karwan Bazar and Rtn Dr Graham
Arthurs the free medical eye camp was jointly organized by Gazi Md
Amanuzzaman and Rotary community core of Bakshiganj.

A total of 19 member medical team examined 1,500 eye patients in the medical
camp free of cost. The poor patients got medical service on various eye
complications including cataract operation. The patients also got medicine
and spectacle free of cost.

President, Parliamentary Standing committee on Planning, Abul Kalam Azad, MP,
as the chief guest inaugurated the medical camp.

Principal, Gazi Amanuzzaman Modern College, Noorzahan Laki presided over the
inaugural function.

Founder of the college, Gazi Md Amanuzzaman, Engineer Gazi Md Altafuzzaman,
Bakshiganj Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer, Dr Mohammad Azizul
Haque, Melandah Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer, Dr Gazi Md
Rafiqul Haque, Officer- In-Charge, Bakshiganj Police Station, Md Sohel Rana,
President, Governing Body, Gazi Amanuzzaman Modern college, Gazi Md Maidul
Haque and President, Union Awami League, Gazi Md Hossain Ali spoke at the
function.
