CHAPAINAWABGANJ, June 24, 2021 (BSS)- Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested four persons as they were gambling at Shibganj upazila of the district last night.

The arrested are Abdul Hannan, 42, of Kalinagar Savania village and Md. Saddam Ali, 26, of Kalinagar village under Sundarpur union of Chapainawabganj sadar upazila,  Md. Salim, 35, of Parkazipur village and Md. Jasim Uddin, 22 of Bhabanipur village under Ghorapakhia union of Shibganj upazila.  

RAB said, acting on a tip-off, an operation team of the RAB-5 from Chapainawabganj camp conducted a raid in a house at Saterorashia Chama village under Ghorapakhia union in Shibganj upazila around 11.30 pm and nabbed them red-handed.

The RAB members also seized Taka 47,490 from their possession.

Later, the arrested persons were handed over to Shibganj Thana Police with a case.
