KHULNA, Jan 31, 2023 (BSS) - The month-long Amar Ekushey Book Fair-2023 will begin on Divisional Public Library premises at Boyra in the city tomorrow.

Mayor of Khulna City Corporation (KCC) Talukder Abdul Khaleque will inaugurate the fair as the chief guest tomorrow afternoon. 
 
Commissioner of Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) Md Masudur Rahman Bhuiyan, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of police of Khulna Range Moinul Haque, Deputy Commissioner of Khulna Khondokar Yasir Arefin and Chairman of Khulna Zila Parishad Sheikh Harun-ur-Rashid are expected to attend the event as special guests.

Additional Divisional Commissioner (Revenue) Md Shahedul Islam will preside over the inaugural ceremony.

Talking to BSS, Deputy Director of the Divisional Public Library Mohammad Hamidur Rahman said a total of 100 stalls will take part in the fair.

The fair will remain open for all from 3pm to 9.00pm every day except holiday. It will also open from 11am to 9.00pm on holiday.

Besides, painting competition, poem recitation for children and cultural programmes will be held on separate themes during the fair every evening, Rahman said.
