RANGPUR, Jan 30, 2023 (BSS) - The central command council of Bangladesh Muktijoddha Santan Sangsad (BMSS) has distributed blankets among cold-stricken poor and distressed people of the city to mitigate their sufferings.
 
The BMSS central command council distributed the blankets in the first phase with assistance of social organisation 'Proriprekhkhit' at a function arranged at Babupara area in the city on Sunday afternoon," said a press release issued here today.
 
Vice-president of the central command council of BMSS and senior journalist Shushanto Bhowmick distributed the blankets as the chief guest.

Presided over by general secretary of Rangpur district unit command of BMSS Md. Mizanur Rahman Mizan, its Rangpur city unit command general secretary Md. Kamal Hossain and joint secretary Md. Mohidul Islam attended the function.
 
Addressing the occasion, Shushanto Bhowmick said more blankets would be distributed among cold-hit poor and distressed people in the subsequent phases to stand beside them and mitigate their sufferings from the biting cold.
