SAVER, Jan 29, 2023 (BSS) - Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) last
night arrested an alleged kingpin Sento Sarder along with his three cohorts
while conducting drives in Gazipur and Ashulia area here.

The detainees are accused of multiple cases, said RAB-4 sources at a press
conference in Nabinagar camp under Saver this noon.

The rest arrestees are Jasim Uddin, hailed from Dinajpur district, Rabbi
Ahmed, inhabitant of Sunamganj district and Johirul Islam, a resident of
Tangail district.

"The culprits brought Arif Hossain to Kaltashiti area in Ashulia by force and
strangled him to death for ransom," RAB sources said, adding that Arif went
to Sentu, who is an inhabitant Rajshahi district, for a job at a garment
factory.

The arrested persons have been committing such heinous crime for three to
four years in this area, the sources mentioned.
