CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Dec, 16, 2022 (BSS) - The Victory Day-2022 was celebrated in a befitting manner in Chapainawabganj district.

The day's programmes started with 31 gun salutes and the hoisting of the national flag in all government and non-government buildings with the sun rise.

Wreaths were offered at the foot of the monument of the martyred freedom fighters in front of the deputy commissioner's office and at the portrait of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in the town by different organisations and government and non-government offices, including Chapainawabganj district administration, district police, Chapainawabganj District Command of Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad, Chapainawabganj municipality, Civil Surgeon's office, Awami League and its front organisations and other political, social and cultural organisations.

 Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Chapainawabganj AKM Galiv Khan hoisted the national flag officially at Doctor AAM Mesbahul Hoque (Bachchu Daktar) stadium and released balloons and pigeons at around 8:30am.

After that a grand march past participated by freedom fighters, police, ansar-VDP, BNCC, fire service and civil defence, scouts, rovers, girl guides, schools, colleges and madrshas and different children and juvenile organisations was held there.
