Daily Desh Kantoshwor editor Anisur Rahman passes away

NETRAKONA, Dec 15, 2022 (BSS) - Editor of daily Desh Kantoshwor Anisur Rahman died of a massive heart attack at his New Town road residence in the district town last night.
 
He was 54.
 
He left behind his father, wife, one son and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death, family sources said.
 
The first namaj-e-janaza of Anisur Rahman, who was also the president of Jatiya Sangbadik Sangstha Netrakona district unit, was held at Netrakona New Town Jam-e-Mosque premises at 11.30 am today.
 
The second namaj-e-janaza of the deceased was held after Zohr prayer at his village home premises at Anantopur and he was laid to eternal rest at his family graveyard there.
 
Meanwhile, the leaders of Netrakona press club, Jatya Sangbadik Sangstha and Bangladesh Sangbadik Samity and local journalists, public representatives, political leaders and civil society members in separate statements issued here today expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of journalist Anisur Rahman.
 
Besides, organizing secretary of Bangladesh Awami League (AL) central committee Ahmed Hussain, president of AL Netrakona district unit Advocate Amirul Islam, general secretary of AL Netrakona district unit Advocate Shamasur Rahman Liton, vice president of Bangladesh Sangbadik Samity central committee and valiant freedom fighter Haider Jahan Chowdhory and former general secretary of Netrakona press club Shamolendu Paul also expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death the Anisur Rahaman.
