DHAKA, Sept 7, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh received US$637 million in workers' remittances during the first six days of September 2026, marking a 23.4 percent increase compared with $516 million received during the corresponding period of September 2025.
According to the latest remittance data, the country received $201 million on September 6 alone.
Cumulatively, Bangladesh received $6.462 billion in remittances from July 2026 to September 6, 2026, compared with $5.416 billion during the same period a year earlier, registering 19.3 percent year-on-year growth.
The latest figures indicate that remittance inflows have continued their strong momentum in the current fiscal year, providing support to the country's foreign-exchange reserves and external-sector stability.
