He invited Chinese investors to explore mutually beneficial partnerships by combining Chinese technology and investment with Bangladesh's market and production potential.
On fisheries, he said there is significant demand in the Chinese market for crab and eel, while demand for Bangladeshi crab and eel has been increasing in recent years.
He said there is considerable scope for investment in crab and eel farming, processing and cold-chain infrastructure in Bangladesh's coastal areas.
He also said the market-access process is underway for exporting jackfruit and guava from Bangladesh to China following Prime Minister Tarique Rahman's visit to China.
He expressed hope that the initiative would open new avenues for agricultural trade between the two countries.

He assured them that the Bangladesh Consulate General in Kunming remains ready to provide necessary information, facilitate business contacts and extend relevant services to interested investors and businesses.
