Nagad enables fee-free donations for flood victims through 200 charities

DHAKA, July 15, 2026 (BSS) - Well-off individuals can now extend financial assistance to flood victims as around 200 charitable organisations are collecting donations through Nagad, a leading mobile financial service provider in Bangladesh.

To maximise the impact of public generosity, Nagad has waived all service charges on these transactions, ensuring that 100% of donations reach the designated charities, said a press release.

Donors can contribute easily through the Nagad app or by dialling *167#.

To donate via Nagad app, an individual needs to tap the "Donation" icon, choose a partner organisation, enter the amount, and input a PIN to confirm.

Alternatively, they can donate via USSD by dialling *167#, navigating to the donation option, selecting their preferred charity, entering the amount, and confirming the transaction with their PIN.

The prominent partner organisations include the As-Sunnah Foundation, Bidyananda Foundation, Anjuman Mufidul Islam, Al-Markazul Islami, Center for Zakat Management (CZM), Jaago Foundation, Mastul Foundation, Quantum Foundation, Sajida Foundation, Obhizatrik Foundation, Human Aid Bangladesh Foundation, KK Foundation, Tasauf Foundation, Mission Save BD, and Friendship NGO.

Speaking on the initiative, Muhammad Zahidul Islam, head of Nagad's Media & Communications, said, "To make it easier for Nagad customers to support people in need, the country's leading charitable organisations have been brought onto the platform. Customers are not charged any fee for making donations. By providing comprehensive support to organisations working in response to humanitarian needs, Nagad is playing its role as a responsible corporate organisation."

Recently, hundreds of thousands of people in Chattogram, Cox's Bazar, Rangamati, Bandarban, and Khagrachhari have been marooned and severely affected by flash floods triggered by relentless monsoon rains and hill torrents.

Nagad urges citizens to come forward and support vulnerable families with life-saving food, clean water and medical aid.
