DHAKA, July 6, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh received US$567 million in workers' remittances during the first five days of July 2026, marking a 38.1 percent year-on-year growth compared to the $411 million received during the corresponding period of July 2025.

According to the latest data, expatriate Bangladeshis sent $219 million in remittances on July 5, 2026 alone.

The strong inflow at the beginning of the fiscal year 2026-27 reflects the continued momentum in remittance earnings, which remain a key source of foreign exchange for the country's economy.
