DHAKA, April 21, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh has officially inaugurated a vibrant national pavilion at the "Global Seafood Expo 2026" held at the Fira Barcelona venue.
The three-day international event, which began today, is set to conclude on April 23, said a press release here.
With financial assistance from the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB), eight reputable Bangladeshi institutions are participating in this premier trade exhibition.
The pavilion is a joint initiative of the EPB and the Bangladesh Frozen Foods Exporters Association (BFFEA), implemented with the comprehensive support of the Bangladesh Embassy in Spain.
The pavilion was formally opened today by Masudur Rahman, Ambassador of Bangladesh to Spain.
The key objectives behind Bangladesh's participation in the expo include strengthening the international branding of the country's marine food sector, identifying new business opportunities, and increasing the volume of Bangladeshi seafood exports worldwide.
On display at the pavilion is high-quality and sustainably harvested marine products, which are already attracting significant attention from international buyers and partners.
This participation highlights Bangladesh's growing focus on quality and sustainability within its seafood industry, the PR release added.
