DHAKA, April 18, 2026 (BSS)- Bangladesh and Türkiye today underscored enhancing trade and investment cooperation and expanding collaboration at regional and global platforms.
This was discussed during a meeting between Prime Minister’s Foreign Affairs Adviser Humayun Kabir and Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister Berris Ekinci.
The meeting was held on the sidelines of a Antalya Diplomacy Forum in Antalya, Türkiye, a message received here today said.
During the meeting, they discussed a wide range of issues of mutual interest, including strengthening bilateral relations and boosting economic engagement.
The Foreign Affairs Adviser highlighted the importance of further deepening the longstanding and friendly ties between Bangladesh and Türkiye, based on shared values, mutual respect and strategic cooperation.
Ekinci expressed Türkiye’s strong interest in strengthening relations with Bangladesh, particularly in the areas of economic partnership, development cooperation and people-to-people connectivity. She also praised Bangladesh’s notable socio-economic progress.
Key regional and international developments also featured in the discussions, with both sides stressing the importance of dialogue, diplomacy and multilateral cooperation in addressing global challenges.
The meeting was held in a cordial and constructive atmosphere, reflecting the growing partnership between the two countries.
Both sides expressed optimism about the future trajectory of bilateral relations and agreed to maintain regular high-level engagements.
